How to Wash Cloth Nappies/Daipers Using Homemade Washing Powder
Here are the ingredients for the Washing powder: Equal amounts of grated soap or soap flakes, (I usually grate 2-3 bars of soap) Washing soda Borax Bicarb soda Essential oil (a few drops) if you want ie tea trea, eucalyptus or lavender
@mrslovinglife2006 sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda
what is bicarb soda?
@mblabezza no worries
I use to use the flushable liners but now i dont bother, the nappies wash up well with no stains and if there are any the sun gets them out.
I have the babyland nappies from eBay. Do you use nappy liners too? Thanks for giving me an idea I’ve been putting off trying to use them again!!
@ringoStarrism Congrats! I have Itti Bitti d’lish in 3 sizes and a few bitti tutto multi fits, also a few baby beehinds, but i do prefer the itti bitti d’lish all in ones they are the simplest to wash and use and also the least bulky looking, baby beehinds tend to be a bit bulky and give bub a huge bum! lol Check out their website and others that have special deals on itti bittis, they are expensive to start with but you will def save money in the long term especially if you plan on having more!
What brand of cloth nappies do I recommend? Do u use one size, or sized? I’m expecting my first & feeling overwhelmed by all the options! Thanks
@Tajiabadger You can buy laundry soap bars from the washing powder section of the supermarket or just plain body soap works too
where did u get ur grated soap from or the soap flakes which ever u used
