This is a really great video! I love how your roji and teahouse is on the roof, and how it takes you away from everyday busy life. I wonder, how did you learn the way of tea? And how did you construct a teahouse on your roof?

This is a very simple, and beautiful video. Wonderful job with the tea ceremony and your respect and explanation of it!

4 aspects not three. wa kei sei jaku wa peace kei respect sei purity the seishin and jaku serenity or tranquility. the video is nice, very good camera. i have always wondered about chashitsu build over concrete. where is the balance among the element. i think you should use a Daisu, this is the only way to harmonize the room . une salle de the doit tjrs etre construite a meme le sol et sans fondation en beton. tout est question d’harmonie pas seulement de visuel.

my tea ceremony teacher always told me , “there is a huge difference between chanoma and chashitsu, unfortunately today, people dont make thi differenciation” i think she is right. no matter how beautiful the room, for this price you could have a hut in the hamptons with indigenous flora and fauna. it would be so much better than a show off y\room in manhattan, even the tittle is , japanese tea ceremony in mahanttan. it should be called, drinking japanese tea in a japanese style room in new york

i am a purist sorry. tea is sacred and popular at once. it is the essnce of beauty not the visual one but the beauty you feel, a blind and deaf person should feel the vibration even without seeing or hearing anything. hene the simplicity of the original tea rooms. if rikyu went to paris and brought back a castel to make tea everyone would laugh. tea is something else than posting one’s wealth on youtube with 3 cameras, lights and such ostentation/ tea is honesty and authenticity of mind & heart

“Japanese Tea Ceremony” – Composer: Whitney Day check this video a little lower on the right of thi page, this is humble and authentic, not only look but listen to what he says. chinese invented tea ceremony and even rikyu an sotan after him of shuko before him , all concidered china as the reference. that is the spirit of tea

He studied very well. The style of this tea ceremony is Urasenke. It is the most popular style in Japan.
