Making Compost Tea

I’m making a new batch of compost tea and have been trying to make the highest quality tea that I can. A five-gallon batch covers my small garden pretty thoroughly. This is my third batch and I can notice an improvement already. Think the plants love it… Great stuff.

North-Indian Recipe Roti Churma

Recipe to prepare “Roti Churma”: Ingredients: 1. leftover chapatis (roti) – 8-10 2. cooking or refined oil – 1 tea spoon 3. cumin seeds – 1/2 tea spoon 4. garlic – 2 cloves 5. ginger – 1/2 inch 6. curry leaves (kadipatta) – 1 stalk 7. green chilly – 4 8. onion – 2 medium bulblets 9. salt – to taste 10. turmeric powder – 1/2 tea spoon 11. coriander powder – 1/2 tea spoon 12. seasoning (garam masala) – 1/4 tea spoon 13. tomatoes – 2 medium size 14. coriander leaves – 1 stalk Procedure: 1. take 8 to 10 unused chapatis of previous night 2. finely crush all the chapatis 3. heat 1 tea spoon cooking or refined oil in a pan 4. add to it following ingredients- a. 1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds b. finely chopped garlic (2 cloves) c. finely chopped ginger (1/2 inch) d. curry leaves (1 stalk) e. 4 chopped green chillies f. finely chopped onion (2 medium bulblets) g. 1/4 tea spoon salt 5. stir and cook all the ingredients 6. add the following spices- a. 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder b. 1/2 tea spooon coriander powder c. 1/4 tea spoon seasoning (garam masala) 7. mix them well 8. add finely chopped tomatoes (2 medium size) 9. toss the dish, and add salt to taste 10. stir, and add finely crushed chapatis 11. keep on stirring the dish for 2-3 minutes 12. add coriander leaves (1 stalk), and mix well 13. put off the flame, and serve Wow guys!!
